Imaginary Skull (ink drawing on printer paper)

Imaginary Skull

There was an impromptu flea market next to the bargain hotel I stayed in during my first trip to New York.

At one of the tables, the guy was selling a skull for fifty bucks. That was clearly outside of my budget so I tried to haggle him down from that price.

He refused to sell it for less than fifty bucks.

The skull had three of its front teeth missing. They looked like they had been cleanly sliced off with some kind of an electric saw.

In my opinion, it ruined the whole aesthetic of the skull so I invested the money in beer instead.
